The Playhouse Announces Their First Shows
Updated: Feb 6, 2019

LAS VEGAS, NV - After 8 years of performing theatrical productions throughout the Las Vegas valley, Poor Richard's Players is proud to open The Playhouse with an exciting lineup of shows: 12 Angry Men, An Iliad, My First Time, and the return of their rapid-fire short play showcase, Never Tie Your Shoelaces in Paris.
"I can't fully express just how excited we are to finally have our own venue. We've been a gypsy company, producing our brand of theatre in almost every venue in Las Vegas for nearly eight years," says Artistic Director Benjamin Loewy. "It has been our mission to 'Challenge the artist and challenge the audience" through theatrical conversations. As we move forward with this new endeavor, we look to expand on that form of communication and implore you to now 'challenge each other.' We believe that the shows in our upcoming lineup will do just that."
The season opens with 12 Angry Men with long time member, Anthony Barnaby, making his directorial debut. "It's immensely exciting to open our theatre with a story that illustrates and reminds us of the importance of civil debate," says Barnaby. "This is the journey of twelve unique people, and both the actors and audience live through their experience as they evolve and change over the course of a single conversation." Performances begin on March 8th and will run through the 24th.
The Playhouse is located at 528 S Decatur Blvd, near Arizona Charlie's. Tickets for all the shows are now available on their website. Subscribe to their mailing list for additional information about upcoming events.
